Description
VKL Electric Chain Hoist for Controlled
Industrial Lifting
The VKL Electric Chain Hoist is designed
for powered lifting applications that require compact
construction together with multiple operational protection
features.
The VKL series incorporates a
24V low-voltage pendant control,
upper and lower limit switches, load-limiting protection,
motor overheating protection and a double-brake configuration
for industrial load handling.
Current listed models cover rated capacities from
0.5T to 5T, with different motor power,
chain-fall arrangements and lifting speeds according to
the selected capacity.

Multiple Protection Features for Electric Lifting
The VKL is designed around a combination of powered lifting,
operator control and integrated protection features for
routine industrial material handling.
24V Pendant Control
The control button uses 24V low-voltage operation
for operator control of the lifting system.
Upper & Lower Limit Switch
Limit-switch protection helps control the permitted
upper and lower travel range during powered lifting.
Load Limiting Device
An integrated load-limiting device helps protect
the lifting system against overload conditions.
Motor Overheating Protection
The high-efficiency motor incorporates overheating
protection for electrically powered lifting operation.
Double-Brake System
The VKL uses a double-brake configuration based on
Japanese technology to support reliable load control.
0.5T–5T Model Range
Six listed VKL configurations provide lifting options
for different light and medium industrial loads.
24V Low-Voltage Pendant Control
The VKL Electric Chain Hoist uses a
24V pendant-control circuit for operator
lifting commands.
This control arrangement separates the pendant operating
interface from the main power configuration and provides
a dedicated low-voltage control solution for routine
lifting operations.
Upper and Lower Limit Switch Protection
The VKL incorporates upper and lower limit switches as part
of its lifting protection system.
These switches are designed to limit continued powered travel
when the lifting mechanism reaches the defined upper or lower
operating position.
Integrated Load-Limiting Device
A load-limiting device is included in the VKL configuration
to help protect the hoist against overload conditions.
The rated capacity of the selected model should always be
matched to the intended working load before installation
and operation.

Electric Drive with Double-Brake Protection
The VKL combines a high-efficiency electric motor with
built-in overheating protection and a
double-brake configuration.
Motor power varies according to rated capacity, from
0.8 kW on the VKL-0.5A to
3.0 kW on the higher-capacity configurations.
0.8 kW
VKL-0.5A.
1.6 kW
VKL-1.0A, VKL-2.0A and VKL-3.0A.

Chain Configuration Matched to Lifting Capacity
Load-chain diameter and the number of chain falls vary
according to the selected VKL model and rated capacity.
7.1 mm Load Chain
Used on VKL-0.5A, VKL-1.0A, VKL-2.0A
and VKL-3.0A.
9 mm Load Chain
Used on VKL-3.0B and VKL-5.0A.
1–3 Chain Falls
The listed configuration uses one, two or three
load-chain falls according to model.

How to Select a VKL Electric Chain Hoist
01
Rated Capacity
Current listed capacities include 0.5T, 1T,
2T, 3T and 5T. Select the model according to
the maximum intended working load.
02
Lifting Speed
Compare the model-specific lifting speeds when
selecting a hoist for repeated load movement.
03
Chain Configuration
Confirm load-chain diameter and number of chain
falls for the selected capacity.
04
Power Supply
Confirm whether the required installation uses
single-phase or three-phase electrical power.
05
Required Lift
Standard listed lift is 3 m. Additional lifting
height will increase the total chain weight
according to the selected model.
CE-Certified Configuration
The VKL Electric Chain Hoist is listed as
CE-certified for applicable product
configurations.
Required documentation and configuration should be confirmed
when requesting a quotation for a specific market or project.
