Description

EA POLYESTER ROUND SLING

EA Polyester Round Sling for Flexible Industrial Lifting

The EA Polyester Round Sling is a flexible
synthetic lifting sling designed for industrial rigging,
machinery handling and load-positioning applications.

Its load-bearing core is manufactured from
continuous high-strength synthetic fibers without joints,
while an outer woven polyester sleeve protects the internal
load-bearing fibers during handling and lifting.

The current EA specification table covers
Working Load Limits from 1T to 12T,
with larger capacities above 12T also listed as available.

ROUND SLING CONSTRUCTION

Continuous Load-Bearing Core with Protective Polyester Sleeve

Unlike a flat webbing sling, the primary load-bearing element
of the EA Round Sling is located inside the protective sleeve.

The internal core uses continuous fibers without joints,
providing the flexible round construction that defines this
type of synthetic lifting sling.

01

Continuous Load-Bearing Core

The internal load-bearing core is manufactured from
continuous synthetic fibers without joints.

02

Polyester Protective Sleeve

The outer sleeve is manufactured from
100% high-tenacity polyester (PES).

03

Flexible Load Contact

The soft and flexible sling construction helps
reduce unnecessary marking of the lifted load surface.

04

Protected Inner Fibers

The woven outer sleeve helps protect the internal
load-bearing fibers from general abrasion during use.

WORKING LOAD LIMIT

EA Round Sling Working Load Limits

The current EA specification series provides nominal
Working Load Limits from 1T to 12T.

Actual permitted lifting capacity depends not only on the
nominal sling WLL, but also on the
lifting method and sling angle.

LIFTING METHODS

Round Sling Capacity Changes with Hitch and Sling Angle

Different lifting arrangements apply different capacity
factors to the nominal Working Load Limit.

Straight Lift

Listed capacity factor: 1.0.

Choked Lift

Listed capacity factor: 0.8.

Basket Lift 0°–7°

Listed capacity factor: 2.0.

Angled Lifting

Listed factors decrease as the applicable sling
angle changes.

Two-Sling Lifting

Separate capacity factors are provided for two-sling
straight and choked configurations.

Always select the applicable Working Load Limit from the
Specifications table for the actual lifting arrangement.

CAPACITY IDENTIFICATION

DIN EN 1492-2 Color Coding

EA Polyester Round Slings are color-coded according to
DIN EN 1492-2 for visual capacity
identification.

Capacity stripes are also provided, with each stripe
representing 1 ton of rated capacity.

Each sling is supplied with identification showing the
rated capacity and effective length.

SAFETY FACTOR OPTIONS

Safety Factors from 4:1 to 8:1

EA Round Slings are available with several safety-factor
configurations according to ordering and market requirements.

FLEXIBLE LOAD CONTACT

Flexible Sling Construction for Load Surface Protection

The flexible round sling body can conform around different
load shapes while maintaining a soft contact surface.

This makes the EA suitable for loads where hard lifting
components could create unwanted concentrated contact
or surface marking.

Sling protection should still be considered wherever
sharp or abrasive edges may damage the outer sleeve.

OPERATING CONDITIONS

-40°C to 100°C Listed Operating Temperature

The listed operating temperature range for the EA Polyester
Round Sling is -40°C to 100°C.

Environmental conditions and sling condition should always
be checked before lifting.

APPLICATIONS

EA Polyester Round Sling Applications

Machinery Handling

Flexible support for lifting and positioning
machinery and industrial equipment.

Fabricated Components

Suitable for lifting finished components where
flexible load contact is preferred.

Warehouse Lifting

General rigging and handling of industrial
materials and packaged loads.

Equipment Installation

Used for load lifting and positioning during
machinery installation and maintenance.

SELECTION GUIDE

How to Select an EA Polyester Round Sling

01

Determine Load Weight

Confirm the maximum load before selecting the
nominal Working Load Limit.

02

Choose the Lifting Method

Determine whether the load will be lifted
vertically, in a choker arrangement or using
a basket configuration.

03

Check Sling Angle

Use the applicable WLL factor when the sling
operates at an angle.

04

Select Safety Factor

Specify the required 4:1, 5:1, 6:1,
7:1 or 8:1 configuration when ordering.

05

Inspect the Load Surface

Identify sharp or abrasive edges and use suitable
sling protection where required.

INSPECTION & CARE

Inspect the Round Sling Before Each Lift

Inspect the outer sleeve for cuts, tears, abrasion
or other visible damage.
Check the sling identification label and rated
Working Load Limit before use.
Do not use a sling when damage to the protective
sleeve may expose or compromise the internal core.
Check the load for sharp or abrasive edges before
positioning the sling.
Confirm the applicable WLL for the actual hitch
configuration and sling angle.
Remove damaged or unidentifiable slings from service.
