Description
HS-VL Manual Chain Hoist for Industrial Load Lifting
The KKV HS-VL Manual Chain Hoist is a hand-operated chain
block designed for controlled vertical lifting in industrial,
construction and maintenance environments.
It operates without an external power supply, making it
suitable for workshops, factories, equipment installation,
warehouses, construction sites and temporary working areas
where reliable manual lifting is required.
The HS-VL series is available in rated capacities from
0.5T to 10T and combines a
G80 alloy steel load chain,
zinc-plated hand chain,
automatic double-pawl braking system
and forged, heat-treated rotating hooks.
Controlled Lifting Without External Power
The HS-VL converts manual hand-chain movement into controlled
load-chain travel, providing a practical lifting solution
for locations where electric or pneumatic hoists are
unnecessary or unavailable.
Vertical Lifting
Raise machinery, components and materials during
installation, assembly, repair and maintenance work.
Manual Operation
No external electricity is required, allowing the
hoist to operate in temporary or remote working areas.
Low Operating Effort
The mechanical transmission is designed to allow
heavy loads to be lifted using controlled manual
hand-chain force.
Wide Capacity Range
Models from 0.5T through 10T support different
workshop, construction and industrial lifting needs.
Automatic Double-Pawl Braking System
The HS-VL uses an
automatic double-pawl braking system
to support controlled lifting and lowering during manual
operation.
Double-Pawl Design
Dual pawls form part of the mechanical braking
arrangement used to control the load.
Manual Load Control
The operator controls lifting and lowering through
the hand chain without an external power source.
G80 Alloy Load Chain and Zinc-Plated Hand Chain
The HS-VL is equipped with
G80 alloy steel load chain for load lifting
and a zinc-plated hand chain for manual
operation.
Load-chain diameter and the number of chain falls vary
according to the selected model and rated lifting capacity.
G80 Load Chain
Alloy steel lifting chain matched to the technical
requirements of each HS-VL capacity.
Zinc-Plated Hand Chain
The operating hand chain is supplied with a
zinc-plated surface as standard.
Forged and Heat-Treated 360° Rotating Hooks
The upper and lower hooks are
forged and heat treated and can rotate
through 360°, providing greater flexibility
when attaching the hoist and positioning the load.
Optional Load Limiter
A load limiter is available as an optional
configuration for customers who require additional
overload-control functionality.
Please specify the load-limiter requirement when requesting
a quotation so the correct product configuration can be
supplied.
Suitable for Industrial and Construction Lifting
Factories & Workshops
Machinery lifting, assembly and maintenance where
dependable manual lifting is required.
Equipment Installation
Controlled lifting and positioning of machinery
and components during installation work.
Construction Sites
Temporary lifting of materials and components
without requiring an electrical power supply.
Warehouses & Maintenance
General lifting, repair and material-handling work
across industrial facilities.
How to Select the Right HS-VL Manual Chain Hoist
Choose the appropriate model according to rated capacity,
lifting height, available headroom, operating effort and
project requirements.
01
Required Load Capacity
Select a rated capacity that safely covers the
maximum intended working load. The current HS-VL
range includes 0.5T, 1T, 1.5T, 2T, 3T, 5T
and 10T models.
02
Required Lifting Height
Standard lifting height varies between models.
Check the Specifications tab and confirm the
required lifting distance before ordering.
03
Available Headroom
Compare the minimum distance between hooks with
the available installation space.
04
Hand-Chain Pull
Compare the chain-pull force required at full
load when selecting the most appropriate capacity.
05
Load Limiter Requirement
Specify whether the optional load limiter is
required when requesting your HS-VL configuration.
Inspection Before Shipment
Each HS-VL Manual Chain Hoist is inspected before shipment
according to KKV quality-control procedures.
Brake Function
The double-pawl braking system is checked for
correct operation.
Chain Travel
Load-chain and hand-chain movement are checked
during product inspection.
Hook Assembly
Hooks, rotation and visible hook components are
inspected before shipment.
External Condition
Body, covers, fasteners and visible components
are inspected before packing.
CE-Certified HS-VL Manual Chain Hoist
The KKV HS-VL Manual Chain Hoist series is CE-certified
for the applicable product configurations.
