Description
CD1/MD1 Electric Wire Rope Hoist for
Industrial Crane and Material Handling Systems
The CD1/MD1 Electric Wire Rope Hoist is a
compact electrically powered lifting unit designed for
industrial lifting, load transfer and material-handling
applications.
The series can be installed on
single-girder cranes, overhead cranes, gantry cranes
and compatible I-beam travelling systems, making it suitable
for factories, warehouses, workshops and general industrial
lifting operations.
CD1 and MD1 share the same general wire-rope hoist concept
but provide different lifting-speed configurations:
CD1 uses a single normal lifting speed,
while MD1 adds a low-speed mode for applications
requiring more controlled load positioning.

CD1 Single-Speed vs MD1 Dual-Speed Wire Rope Hoist
The main operating difference between CD1 and MD1 is the
available lifting speed. Choosing the correct configuration
depends on whether the application prioritizes straightforward
lifting efficiency or more precise final positioning.
CD1 Single-Speed Lifting
CD1 operates at one normal lifting speed and is intended
for general lifting, loading, unloading and material
transfer where precise low-speed positioning is not
required.
MD1 Dual-Speed Lifting
MD1 provides both normal and low lifting speeds.
The additional slow-speed mode allows the operator
to make smaller and more controlled vertical
adjustments near the final load position.
General Material Handling
CD1 is suitable for routine industrial lifting where
normal lifting speed provides the required operating
efficiency.
Precision Positioning
MD1 is better suited to equipment installation,
machine maintenance and other operations where
the suspended load must approach its final position
more gradually.
Three-Stage Helical Gear Reducer
The CD1/MD1 electric wire rope hoist uses a
three-stage helical gear transmission.
The reducer incorporates heat-treated alloy-steel gears
and shafts as part of the mechanical power-transmission system.
This geared arrangement transfers motor output to the wire-rope
drum while reducing rotational speed to the required lifting
operating range.
Conical-Rotor Electric Motor with Braking Function
The lifting system uses a
conical-rotor electric motor designed to provide
starting torque and braking performance within the lifting
drive arrangement.
Depending on hoist capacity, different ZD1 or ZDS1 lifting
motor configurations are used. Motor power increases with
the required lifting capacity.
0.5T
Lifting motor power starts from 0.8 kW for the
corresponding standard-speed configuration.
1T
The listed lifting motor power is 1.5 kW for
the corresponding standard-speed configuration.
2T–3T
Higher motor outputs are used as lifting capacity
increases through the medium-capacity range.
5T–10T
Larger-capacity configurations use higher-output
lifting motors matched to the required load.
High-Strength Steel Wire Rope
The CD1/MD1 lifting system uses
GB/T 1102 steel wire rope.
Wire-rope diameter is selected according to the lifting
capacity of the hoist.
0.5T
4.8 mm wire-rope diameter in the listed
specification series.
1T
7.4 mm wire-rope diameter in the listed
specification series.
2T
11 mm wire-rope diameter in the listed
specification series.
3T
13 mm wire-rope diameter in the listed
specification series.
5T and Above
15 mm wire rope is listed for the higher-capacity
specification group.
Upper and Lower Travel Limit Protection
The CD1/MD1 control system includes upper and lower travel
limit protection for the lifting mechanism.
The limit-control arrangement is designed to interrupt the
relevant circuit when the permitted lifting travel reaches
its defined limit, helping prevent continued powered movement
beyond the intended operating range.
Electric Trolley Travel for Crane Systems
Travelling configurations allow the wire rope hoist to move
horizontally along a compatible beam or crane runway while
retaining electrically powered vertical lifting.
The listed standard running speed is
20 m/min, with the original specification
also showing a 30 m/min configuration.
Suitable I-beam sizes and minimum curved-track radii vary
according to hoist capacity and lifting height and should
be checked before installation.
Pendant Control with Optional Wireless Remote Control
The CD1/MD1 electric wire rope hoist can be operated using
a pendant push-button control.
An optional wireless remote-control configuration is also
available for applications where remote operator positioning
is preferred.
Typical CD1/MD1 Electric Wire Rope Hoist Applications
Single-Girder Cranes
Electric lifting and horizontal travel for standard
workshop and factory single-girder crane systems.
Overhead Cranes
Material lifting and positioning in production,
maintenance and warehouse handling operations.
Gantry Cranes
Suitable for compatible gantry-crane systems used
for industrial material handling and load transfer.
Factories & Warehouses
Handling machinery, components, raw materials and
finished goods during routine industrial operations.
How to Select a CD1 or MD1 Electric Wire Rope Hoist
Selection should consider lifting capacity, required lifting
height, lifting speed, positioning accuracy, runway size
and electrical configuration.
01
Select CD1 or MD1
Choose CD1 for standard single-speed lifting.
Choose MD1 when an additional low lifting speed
is required for more controlled positioning.
02
Rated Capacity
Confirm the maximum intended working load and
select the corresponding hoist capacity from the
available specification range.
03
Lifting Height
Listed lifting heights include 6 m, 9 m, 12 m,
18 m, 24 m and 30 m depending on the selected
capacity and configuration.
04
Beam and Track Requirements
Check the required I-beam range and minimum track
radius before installing the travelling hoist.
05
Power Supply
The listed standard specification uses
three-phase 380 V, 50 Hz power. Confirm the required
electrical supply before ordering.
Routine Checks for Electric Wire Rope Hoist Operation
deformation, excessive wear or other visible damage.
abnormal sound, vibration or irregular movement.
beginning normal lifting operations.
for visible damage before operation.
and never use the equipment for lifting personnel.
