The safety components support correct clamp
engagement before and during vertical lifting.

CDH Vertical Lifting Clamp Jaw and Steel Body Detail

Jaw & Steel Body Detail

The jaw assembly and steel body form the main
load path between the plate and the lifting eye.

WORKING PRINCIPLE

Secure Engagement Before Vertical Lifting

Position the clamp on a suitable plate within the
specified jaw range, engage the safety mechanism,
and verify secure contact before applying the load.

Position the Clamp

Place the clamp correctly on a plate within
the specified jaw-opening range.
Engage the Safety Mechanism

Confirm that the clamp is in the correct
operating condition before lifting.
Apply Load Smoothly

Raise the load progressively and avoid
snatch or shock loading.
Lower Before Release

Fully support the load before disengaging
or removing the clamp.

APPLICATIONS

CDH Vertical Lifting Clamp Applications

Steel Plate Handling

Vertical lifting and positioning of suitable
steel plates.

Fabrication Shops

Plate handling during cutting, welding and
fabrication processes.

Steel Structures

Lifting suitable steel components during
assembly and installation.

Maintenance Work

Controlled lifting of suitable plate components
during service and repair.

SELECTION GUIDE

How to Select a CDH Lifting Clamp

01

Confirm Rated Capacity

Select a capacity suitable for the
maximum intended load.

02

Measure Plate Thickness

Confirm that the plate fits within the
specified jaw-opening range.

03

Check Plate Condition

Inspect the gripping area and confirm it
is suitable for clamp engagement.

04

Confirm Vertical Lifting

Use the clamp only in an arrangement suitable
for its vertical plate-clamp design.

05

Check Rigging Compatibility

Verify the lifting eye and connected rigging
as part of the complete lifting system.

INSPECTION & MAINTENANCE

Inspect the CDH Clamp Before Operation

Inspect the body, lifting eye and pins for
deformation, cracks or visible damage.
Check the gripping components for wear,
contamination or damage.
Confirm that moving components operate freely.
Test the safety mechanism before applying load.
Keep gripping surfaces clean and free from
oil or loose contamination.
Remove the clamp from service if abnormal wear
or damage is identified.
