HHSY Electric Chain Hoist Configurations and Product Details

CONFIGURATION OPTIONS

Three HHSY Electric Chain Hoist Configurations

Different lifting applications require different installation
arrangements. The HHSY series provides three main configurations
depending on whether the load requires only vertical lifting,
powered horizontal travel or maximum lifting height in a
restricted-headroom building.

01

Stationary Single Speed

Designed for vertical lifting from a fixed suspension
point where horizontal trolley movement is not required.

02

Motorized Trolley Single Speed

Combines powered vertical lifting with motorized
horizontal travel along a compatible beam or runway,
allowing the suspended load to be moved between
working positions.

03

Low Headroom Single Speed

Uses a compact travelling arrangement designed to
reduce the vertical space occupied by the hoist and
maximize available hook lifting height.

STATIONARY TYPE

Stationary Electric Chain Hoist for Fixed-Point Lifting

The stationary HHSY configuration is intended for applications
where the lifting point remains fixed and only vertical
load movement is required.

This configuration is suitable for assembly stations,
maintenance areas, equipment installation and fixed lifting
positions where horizontal beam travel is unnecessary.

Fixed Suspension

Designed for vertical lifting from a defined
suspension point.

Simple Installation Layout

Suitable where a travelling trolley system is not
required by the application.

MOTORIZED TROLLEY TYPE

Electric Chain Hoist with Powered Horizontal Travel

The motorized trolley configuration combines electric
vertical lifting with powered horizontal movement along
a compatible beam.

This allows one hoist to lift a load and then move it
between different working positions, making the configuration
suitable for production lines, workshops, warehouses and
general material-transfer operations.

Electric Lifting

Powered vertical lifting reduces the manual effort
required for repeated material-handling operations.

Powered Trolley Travel

Horizontal travel allows the suspended load to move
along a compatible runway or beam.

LOW HEADROOM TYPE

Low Headroom Electric Chain Hoist for Limited Vertical Space

The low-headroom HHSY configuration is designed for buildings
where available vertical clearance between the runway beam
and the floor is limited.

By reducing the vertical space occupied by the hoist
installation, the load hook can operate closer to the
supporting structure, helping increase the effective
lifting height available to the operator.

Reduced Installation Height

Compact arrangement helps reduce the vertical
space occupied by the hoist system.

More Effective Hook Height

Particularly useful in low-ceiling factories,
workshops and existing industrial buildings.

CAPACITY RANGE

HHSY Electric Chain Hoists from 0.5T to 5T

The current HHSY specification series includes multiple
rated capacities and chain configurations for different
industrial lifting requirements.

0.5T

Suitable for lighter industrial material-handling
and equipment-lifting applications.

1T

Available in different HHSY configurations according
to installation and load-chain arrangement.

2T

Multiple model configurations provide options for
different lifting-system layouts.

3T & 5T

Higher-capacity HHSY configurations are available
for heavier industrial lifting requirements.

LOAD CHAIN SYSTEM

Load Chain Configuration Matched to Rated Capacity

Load-chain diameter and the number of chain falls vary
according to HHSY model and rated capacity.

Single Chain Fall

HHSY-0.5A, HHSY-1.0A and HHSY-2.0A use
single load-chain fall configurations.

Double Chain Fall

HHSY-1.0B, HHSY-2.0B, HHSY-3.0B and
HHSY-5.0B use two load-chain falls.

6.3–11.2 mm Chain Range

Load-chain diameter varies from 6.3 mm to
11.2 mm depending on model configuration.

ELECTRIC LIFTING PERFORMANCE

Motor and Lifting Speed Matched to the Hoist Configuration

Each HHSY model uses a motor and lifting-speed configuration
matched to its rated capacity and load-chain arrangement.

Listed motor power ranges from
1.1 kW to 3.0 kW, while listed lifting
speeds range from 2.8 m/min to 7.8 m/min.

01

Motor Power

Motor output is selected according to lifting
capacity and mechanical configuration.

02

Lifting Speed

Lifting speed varies across the HHSY range to
match capacity and chain-fall configuration.

03

Single-Speed Operation

The three primary configurations on this product
page are designed around straightforward
single-speed electric lifting.

APPLICATIONS

HHSY Electric Chain Hoist Applications

Factories & Production Lines

Lifting and transferring machinery, components,
tooling and materials during production operations.

Warehouses

Electric lifting and load positioning for general
warehouse material-handling requirements.

Workshops

Equipment installation, assembly and maintenance
work requiring powered vertical lifting.

Low-Ceiling Buildings

Low-headroom configuration helps maximize usable
lifting height where vertical installation space
is restricted.

CONFIGURATION GUIDE

Which HHSY Electric Chain Hoist Configuration Do You Need?

01

Need Vertical Lifting Only?

Choose the stationary single-speed configuration
when the lifting position remains fixed and
horizontal movement is unnecessary.

02

Need Horizontal Load Travel?

Choose the motorized trolley configuration when
the suspended load must move along a runway
between multiple working positions.

03

Limited Building Height?

Choose the low-headroom configuration when
maximizing effective hook height is more important
than using a conventional trolley arrangement.

SELECTION GUIDE

How to Select the Right HHSY Electric Chain Hoist

01

Rated Capacity

Select a hoist capacity that covers the maximum
intended working load. Current listed capacities
range from 0.5T to 5T.

02

Installation Configuration

Determine whether the application requires a
stationary, motorized trolley or low-headroom
configuration.

03

Available Headroom

Check available vertical clearance before selecting
a standard travelling or low-headroom arrangement.

04

Lifting Speed

Compare the lifting speed of each model according
to the required operating cycle and load capacity.

05

Load Chain Configuration

Check chain diameter and number of chain falls
for the selected model in the Specifications tab.

INSPECTION & MAINTENANCE

Routine Checks for Reliable Electric Hoist Operation

Inspect the load chain for excessive wear, deformation,
corrosion or other visible damage before operation.
Check the hook, chain guide and visible lifting components
for abnormal wear or damage.
Confirm lifting and lowering functions operate correctly
before applying the intended working load.
For travelling configurations, check trolley movement
and beam travel before normal lifting operations.
Inspect electrical controls, cables and connections
for visible damage before operation.
Never exceed the rated capacity of the selected HHSY
model and never use the hoist for lifting personnel.
