Description
SY Series Permanent Magnetic Lifter for Steel Handling
The SY Series Permanent Magnetic Lifter is designed
for lifting and positioning compatible ferromagnetic steel plates,
blocks and machine components using permanent magnetic force.
Because the magnetic system does not require an external electrical
power supply, the lifter provides a compact solution for steel handling
in workshops, warehouses, fabrication facilities and machinery
manufacturing environments.
The listed SY series covers rated lifting capacities from
100 kg to 5,000 kg, allowing users to select
the appropriate model according to load weight and actual
workpiece conditions.
Power-Free Magnetic Lifting for Industrial Steel Handling
The SY Series combines permanent magnetic lifting force with
straightforward manual operation for routine steel handling
and positioning work.
Permanent Magnetic System
Magnetic holding force is generated without requiring
an external electrical supply during lifting.
Manual ON/OFF Operation
The operating handle allows the magnetic circuit to be
engaged and released during normal handling operations.
Compact Lifting Structure
A compact body makes the lifter practical for installation,
transportation and use in industrial work areas.
Wide Capacity Range
Eight listed models cover lifting capacities from
100 kg through 5,000 kg.
Steel Handling Focus
Designed for compatible ferromagnetic steel plates,
solid steel blocks and machine components.
High Breakaway Force
Each model has a specified maximum breakaway-force value
for comparison during product selection.

Manual Magnetic Engagement Without External Power
A permanent magnetic lifter uses an internal permanent-magnet
arrangement to create a magnetic holding circuit through a
compatible steel workpiece.
The manual operating handle is used to switch the magnetic circuit
between the working and release positions. No continuous electrical
power supply is required to maintain the permanent magnetic system
during normal operation.
Position the lifter correctly on a suitable steel workpiece.
Operate the handle to engage the magnetic circuit.
Confirm secure magnetic contact before beginning the lift.
After the load is safely supported, release the magnetic circuit as required.
Designed for Compatible Ferromagnetic Steel Workpieces
Permanent magnetic lifters rely on a magnetic circuit through
the workpiece. Material composition and contact conditions therefore
affect actual magnetic holding performance.
Steel Plates
Suitable steel plates can provide a broad contact area
for magnetic lifting.
Solid Steel Blocks
Suitable solid ferromagnetic workpieces can be handled
when capacity and contact conditions are appropriate.
Machine Components
Applicable to compatible machined steel components with
suitable lifting surfaces.
Non-Magnetic Materials
Materials that do not provide suitable ferromagnetic
attraction are not appropriate for this lifting method.
What Affects Magnetic Lifting Capacity?
The rated model capacity alone is not the only consideration
when selecting a permanent magnetic lifter. Actual magnetic
holding performance also depends on the workpiece and the
quality of magnetic contact.
Material Type
Magnetic attraction varies according to the magnetic
properties of the workpiece material.
Material Thickness
Workpiece thickness can affect the ability of the magnetic
circuit to develop effective holding force.
Surface Condition
Rust, scale, dirt, coatings or uneven surfaces can reduce
effective magnetic contact.
Contact Area
Correct positioning and sufficient contact between the
magnetic poles and workpiece are important.
Where Are Permanent Magnetic Lifters Used?
Steel Processing
Lifting and positioning suitable steel plates and
components during processing operations.
Machinery Manufacturing
Handling compatible steel machine parts during
manufacturing and assembly processes.
Fabrication Workshops
Practical steel handling during cutting, welding,
machining and fabrication work.
Warehouses
Moving suitable ferromagnetic steel stock and
components during storage and material handling.
Check the Workpiece and Lifter Before Every Lift
Confirm that the workpiece material is suitable for magnetic lifting.
Confirm that the selected model has sufficient rated capacity.
Inspect the magnetic contact surface for dirt, rust or large irregularities.
Check the operating handle and locking arrangement before use.
Position the magnetic poles correctly on the workpiece.
Confirm secure holding before fully lifting or moving the load.
How to Select the Right Permanent Magnetic Lifter
Model selection should consider more than load weight alone.
Confirm the workpiece material, thickness, surface condition
and available magnetic contact area before lifting.
01
Confirm Workpiece Weight
Select a model with rated lifting capacity appropriate
for the intended load.
02
Check Material Compatibility
Confirm that the workpiece provides suitable
ferromagnetic properties for magnetic lifting.
03
Check Material Thickness
Consider whether the workpiece thickness is suitable
for developing the required magnetic holding force.
04
Inspect the Contact Surface
Dirt, scale, rust, paint and uneven surfaces can
increase the air gap and reduce magnetic attraction.
05
Compare Technical Data
Review model capacity, maximum breakaway force,
overall dimensions and unit weight before ordering.

Routine Checks for Reliable Magnetic Lifting
Keep the contact surface clean and inspect it for
damage or excessive wear.
Confirm that the handle moves correctly and the operating
mechanism is in suitable condition.
Inspect the suspension point and surrounding structure
before connecting lifting equipment.
Remove loose debris and check for conditions that could
prevent effective magnetic contact.
Never exceed the applicable rated capacity for the
selected model and actual workpiece conditions.
Keep the lifter clean and store it in a dry,
suitable industrial environment when not in use.
