Description
EB Flat Webbing Sling for Industrial Lifting and Rigging
The EB Flat Webbing Sling is manufactured
from 100% high-tenacity polyester (PES)
and provides a flexible lifting solution for industrial
rigging, material handling and load positioning.
Its wide and smooth load-bearing surface distributes contact
across the lifted object and helps reduce surface marking
compared with harder load-contact materials.
EB webbing slings are available in
single-ply and double-ply constructions,
with a listed Working Load Limit range from
1T to 12T. Larger 16T, 20T and 30T
configurations are also listed as available.

Flexible Polyester Lifting with Clear Capacity Identification
High-Tenacity Polyester
Manufactured from 100% high-tenacity polyester
for flexible industrial lifting applications.
Single & Double Ply
Available in single-ply and double-ply construction
to support different lifting configurations.
1T–12T Listed WLL
The current technical table covers Working Load Limits
from 1T through 12T.
Color-Coded Capacity
Sling colors follow DIN EN 1492-1 coding to help
operators identify the corresponding rated capacity.
Capacity Stripes
Capacity stripes are provided on the webbing,
with each stripe representing 1 ton of rated capacity.
Multiple Safety Factors
Available safety-factor configurations include
4:1, 5:1, 6:1, 7:1 and 8:1.

Wide and Smooth Bearing Surface
The flat webbing construction provides a broad contact area
between the sling and the lifted object.
This makes the EB sling particularly suitable for loads
where avoiding concentrated contact and unnecessary surface
damage is important.
Protective sleeves should be used when the sling may contact
sharp edges or other surfaces that could cut
or damage the polyester webbing.
Working Load Limit Changes with Sling Configuration
The permitted lifting load is not determined by the sling’s
nominal WLL alone. The actual allowable load also changes
according to the lifting arrangement and sling angle.
Straight Lift
Capacity factor: 1.0 for the listed single-sling
straight lifting configuration.
Choked Lift
Capacity factor: 0.8 in the listed choked
lifting configuration.
Basket / 0°–7°
Capacity factor: 2.0 in the listed near-vertical
basket configuration.
7°–45°
Capacity factor: 1.4 in the corresponding
listed sling-angle configuration.
45°–60°
Capacity decreases as the sling angle increases
according to the listed WLL table.
Always use the applicable WLL shown in the Specifications
table for the actual sling arrangement rather than relying
only on the nominal sling capacity.

DIN EN 1492-1 Color-Coded Webbing Slings
The EB Flat Webbing Sling uses color coding according to
DIN EN 1492-1 to provide a visual indication
of Working Load Limit.
The sling should still be identified from its product
information and applicable WLL data before use rather than
relying only on color.

Multiple Safety-Factor Configurations
EB Flat Webbing Slings are available with
4:1, 5:1, 6:1, 7:1 and 8:1
safety-factor configurations.
The required safety factor should be specified when requesting
a quotation so the supplied sling configuration matches the
intended market and lifting requirements.
-40°C to 100°C Listed Operating Temperature
The listed operating-temperature range for the EB polyester
webbing sling is -40°C to 100°C.
Sling condition, load surface and environmental exposure
should always be evaluated before lifting.

EB Polyester Webbing Sling Applications
Machinery Lifting
Flexible load support during equipment installation,
maintenance and machinery handling.
Warehousing
General lifting and positioning of industrial
materials and packaged loads.
Fabrication
Soft lifting support for fabricated components
and finished products.
Construction
Rigging and material handling where a flexible
polyester sling is suitable for the load.
How to Select an EB Flat Webbing Sling
01
Determine the Load Weight
Confirm the maximum load before selecting
the nominal Working Load Limit.
02
Determine the Lifting Method
Straight, choked and angled lifting configurations
have different allowable working loads.
03
Check Sling Angle
Refer to the WLL table when one or two slings
are used at an angle.
04
Select Safety Factor
Specify the required 4:1, 5:1, 6:1, 7:1
or 8:1 configuration when ordering.
05
Check Load Edges
Use appropriate protective sleeves where sharp
edges could damage the sling webbing.
Lifting Sling Identification and Compliance
The EB Flat Webbing Sling is listed as manufactured in
accordance with EC Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC,
with color identification according to
DIN EN 1492-1.
Required safety factor, documentation and market-specific
configuration should be confirmed when requesting a quotation.
